Hiring - Sport Executive Administrative Assistant

Sport Executive Administrative Assistant

Grow Sport | Remote (Ireland) | Part-time, minimum 20 hours per week

The Organisation

Grow Sport is a specialist sports funding and advisory consultancy working with clubs, national governing bodies and community organisations across Ireland. Our client base spans GAA, golf, football and racquet sports, and our work covers grant funding strategy, capital project development, and the governance, financial and operational frameworks that underpin sustainable club administration.

We operate at the intersection of sport, funding and infrastructure, advising organisations at every scale from single-pitch clubs to national bodies planning multi-million euro facility investment.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sports Executive Administrative Assistant to provide senior-level administrative and project support across the business.

The successful candidate will manage executive scheduling, coordinate meetings and stakeholder calls, maintain project documentation, prepare correspondence and reports, and administer accurate records across a live portfolio of client engagements.

A substantial element of the role concerns project and application administration. The postholder will track concurrent client projects, compile supporting documentation for funding submissions, work within online grant portals, and maintain the internal systems on which project delivery depends. Funding deadlines are fixed and non-negotiable; forward planning and disciplined follow-up are therefore central to the position.

The role involves regular engagement with club officers, committee members, governing bodies and funding agencies, and requires a consistently professional and considered approach to stakeholder communication.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Irish sports sector, including the operating structures of clubs, county boards and national governing bodies

  • Proven experience in project coordination and the management of concurrent deadlines

  • Experience supporting funding applications, tenders or comparable submission processes, including the use of online portals

  • Strong systems literacy, with the capability to establish, maintain and improve information management processes

  • Substantial administrative and executive support experience, including support to senior leadership and the handling of confidential information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High standard of organisation and attention to detail, with the capacity to work autonomously in a remote environment

  • Prior club committee involvement or sector experience is advantageous

Terms

  • Part-time, minimum 20 hours per week

  • Fully remote, with flexibility in the scheduling of hours subject to client and deadline requirements

  • Contract position, with scope for extension of hours in line with business growth

Applications are invited from candidates who combine strong executive support credentials with genuine knowledge of the Irish sporting landscape.
